Security forces have apprehended three active members of the banned outfit KCP Apunba (City Meitei) in Waithou, Thoubal District, Manipur.
The detained individuals are identified as Louriyam Suresh Singh, 28, Lairenlakpam Dineshchandra Singh, 30, and Konsam Anao Singh, 26.
Recovered from their possession were three pistols with magazines, sixteen rounds of ammunition, four mobile phones, and one vehicle.
Simultaneously, search operations and area control efforts were conducted by security forces in the vulnerable regions of the hill and valley districts.
The movement of 202 vehicles carrying essential goods along NH-2 was ensured. Strict security measures were implemented in all critical areas, with a security convoy provided on sensitive stretches to guarantee safe passage.
A total of 123 checkpoints were set up in various districts of Manipur, both in hill and valley areas, resulting in the detention of 81 individuals for various violations.
