In a momentous stride towards the advancement of educational infrastructure in Manipur, the Union Government has taken a decisive step by allocating a substantial sum of Rs 40,475.7 lakh under the Samagra Shiksha scheme for the fiscal year 2022-23.

This significant financial commitment is designated to fuel comprehensive development across Manipur’s elementary, secondary, and teacher education sectors, as revealed in an official statement from the office of the Minister of State for Education and External Affairs.

The allocation is a clear testament to the relentless efforts of Union Minister of State for Education and External Affairs, Dr RK Ranjan Singh. It also echoes the people-centric governance model championed by the Narendra Modi-led Government, demonstrating a steadfast dedication to bolstering educational initiatives in the region.

The official statement underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring the success of educational projects in Manipur, emphasizing the importance of a seamless and effective implementation process.

The Samagra Shiksha scheme, a flagship initiative under the aegis of the Government of India and administered by the Ministry of Education, stands as a beacon for a unified approach to school education. It marks a transformative paradigm shift, encapsulating education from pre-school to senior secondary levels and seamlessly integrating Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA), and Teacher Education within its ambit.

The scheme’s primary objective is lofty yet essential: to elevate the quality of education, promote inclusiveness and equity, and enhance learning outcomes for students throughout the country.

The allocated funding of Rs 40,475.7 lakh is anticipated to catalyze a transformative change in Manipur’s educational landscape. This financial infusion is poised to improve access, elevate quality, and enhance the effectiveness of school education in the region, according to the official statement. The move is a clear indication of the government’s commitment to nurturing a robust educational environment for the benefit of the community.
