Manipur University (MU) had a big win at the SIIC V Conference in Singapore. The event, focusing on Future Innovation and Sustainable Development for Asian Countries, saw MU as the key partner. Organized by the Shri Aurobindo Yoga and Knowledge Foundation and hosted at Singapore Management University, the conference celebrated ideas and sustainability.
Before the conference, there was a two-day tour showcasing Singapore’s cool sustainable practices. On February 3, the conference began, with MU Registrar Professor W Chandbabu Singh leading as the main speaker. He shared smart thoughts on sustainable development and innovation, discussing collaborative efforts with Sustainable India and other Asian institutions.
The conference also featured Dean Professor S Jibon Kumar from the School of Human and Environmental Sciences. Behind the scenes, SIIC V Program Coordinator Professor Laishram Thambal Singh made sure everything ran smoothly.
Twenty-two papers covering sustainable development and innovation in Asian countries were presented by 15 online speakers and 10 associates. The 30-member MU delegation added life to the conference, sharing their experiences with sustainable initiatives in Singapore.
But the MU adventure didn’t stop there. After the conference, they went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on February 4 and 5 to learn more about sustainable practices in the region. A successful chapter in MU’s academic journey!
