In a significant development regarding the case of Md Jabir, whose lifeless body was discovered at Thoubal hospital following a kidnapping by unidentified armed individuals, Manipur police have taken another individual into custody.
This brings the total number of arrests to 11, with security forces apprehending 10 individuals on Wednesday and one more on Thursday.
The individual detained on Thursday has been identified as Md Achouba, aged 27, the son of Md Gaffar from Lilong Kaleikhong.
Law enforcement authorities are currently in pursuit of the two main suspects in the case, namely, Md Boboy from Lilong Mayai Leikai and Th Roshan, who claims to be the PPF Heirok convenor and is now considered a fugitive.
