Today, in a rented space at Namdailong under Lamphel police station, a 39-year-old gentleman was discovered lifeless, a tightly wound cloth encircling his neck.
The deceased, identified as Ritishkumar Magar from Kanglatongbi, bore scratches on his face, hands, and chest, his wife Solemphi (36) from Ukhrul district reportedly evading detection.
According to a relative, the couple frequently engaged in disputes during their residence in the rented quarters.
Ritishkumar was found deceased by the landlord at around 9:30 am, with a cloth around his neck, following an altercation with his spouse the previous night.
Solemphi’s whereabouts remain unknown, prompting authorities to initiate an investigation and transfer the deceased’s body to RIMS mortuary.
