Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Tuesday applauded the Kuki community for their stance on the implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC).
Addressing a gathering at the Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) headquarters, CM Biren Singh expressed his gratitude to the community for their unwavering support towards the NRC implementation. He emphasized the importance of the NRC in protecting the rights and interests of the indigenous people of Manipur.
The CM’s praise comes after the Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) and other Kuki organizations have consistently backed the state government’s efforts to implement the NRC. The Kuki community has been actively engaged in the process, participating in awareness campaigns and encouraging people to enroll in the NRC.
