JNIMS Students Association (JSA) has strongly condemned the alleged misconduct by Manipur Police against Dr. Larung Mejonah at Palace Compound.
In a press release issued on Sunday, JSA called for an immediate and thorough investigation into the incident, demanding accountability for those responsible.
Despite Dr. Mejonah providing the requested documents and revealing his position as a Medical Officer in Moreh, Manipur Health Services, the incident unfolded.
JSA stressed the importance of transparency and accountability in restoring public confidence in law enforcement. They further urged the implementation of robust training programs focusing on de-escalation techniques, implicit bias, and community engagement to prevent similar incidents in the future.
