The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a second summons to Robert Vadra, husband of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, in connection with a money-laundering investigation related to a land deal in Shikohpur village, Haryana. Vadra’s company, Skylight Hospitality, purchased approximately three acres of land in Shikohpur in 2008 for ₹7.5 crore. Subsequently, the Haryana town planning department issued a letter of intent to develop a commercial colony on 2.71 acres of this land. Later that year, Skylight entered into an agreement to sell the land to DLF for ₹58 crore, and the sale deed was registered in DLF’s favor.

Vadra, 56, was first summoned on April 8 but did not appear. Following the second summons, he arrived at the ED office accompanied by supporters, asserting that the allegations are politically motivated and stating, “Whenever I talk for the people, they will try to suppress me. It’s a political vendetta. They misuse the power of the probing agencies. I do not have any fear, as I have nothing to hide.” Congress supporters present chanted slogans accusing the current government of using investigative agencies to target opposition figures.

Upon his appearance, the ED is expected to record Vadra’s statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Previously, he has been questioned by the agency in a separate money laundering case.
