In a significant development, the Dhanamanjuri University syndicate is set to appoint a new Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, and Controller of Examinations today, bringing an end to the prolonged crisis that has gripped the institution.
An emergency meeting of the syndicate has been scheduled at 11 am today at the Conference Hall of Dhanamanjuri University to declare the results of the recruitment process for various posts, including teaching and non-teaching staff.
The students’ hunger strike, which began on July 9, enters its ninth day today, with the students demanding the appointment of regular staff, including a Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, and Controller of Examinations.
The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has extended its support to the protesting students, joining the hunger strike and demanding immediate appointment of regular staff.
Governor Anusuiya Uikey had earlier raised concerns over the absence of a regular Vice-Chancellor and Registrar, affecting the university’s operations and students’ experience.
The appointments are expected to bring stability to the institution, ending the uncertainty and chaos that has gripped the university for months. A new chapter is set to unfold at Dhanamanjuri University, with the students and faculty looking forward to a brighter future.
