Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has commended the efforts of the Kangpokpi district administration in organizing recreational activities for children in relief camps, emphasizing the significance of nurturing young minds even in challenging circumstances.
The Chief Minister, in a statement shared on the social media platform “X,” highlighted the importance of creating a positive environment for children to channel their energy and creativity. The Kangpokpi district administration has reached out to 1,610 children residing in 34 relief camps, implementing various programs designed to provide emotional support and recreational opportunities. Activities include outdoor games such as football and volleyball, and park visits, aimed at encouraging physical activity and camaraderie among the children.
Additionally, the administration has distributed recreational materials, including carrom boards, badminton sets, and other items, ensuring children have access to activities that engage them creatively and constructively.
