Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Manipur Police, seized narcotics in Mao, Senapati District, Manipur. The operation recovered 22 soap packages containing a total of 260 grams of Brown Sugar valued at Rs. 2.6 Lakhs. The confiscated drugs have been handed over to police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
In a separate operation, Assam Rifles, working with Manipur Police, successfully conducted a raid in the Charoibung area of Imphal West district on June 19th. During the operation, a significant cache of weapons and ammunition was uncovered, including a carbine machine gun, two single-barrel firearms, twelve grenades, six tube launchers, ammunition, and various other military supplies.
These recovered items are crucial for maintaining peace and security in the region, and efforts continue to trace their origin and intended use, with a focus on dismantling any networks involved in their distribution.
