Kharge Slams Modi for Neglecting NEET Irregularities and Manipur Violence in Pre-Parliament Speech

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his pre-Parliament speech, accusing him of neglecting crucial national issues such as the NEET exam irregularities and the ongoing violence in Manipur.

In a robust rebuttal, Kharge accused Modi and his government of dwelling on historical references instead of addressing current challenges. “He repeats this mantra endlessly, acting as though in a perpetual state of emergency without formally declaring one,” Kharge remarked pointedly in response to Modi’s remarks preceding the 18th Lok Sabha session.

Kharge further lamented Modi’s failure to address pressing concerns such as the irregularities in the NEET exams, the persistent violence in Manipur, and the recent tragic train accident in West Bengal. He expressed disappointment that Modi’s speech appeared to be dominated by routine formalities rather than addressing the urgent issues expected by the public. Despite past setbacks, Kharge highlighted that Modi’s “aura of self-assurance” remains unchanged.

In a detailed critique on social media, Kharge wrote, “While Modi may express sympathy for youth affected by NEET and other entrance exam paper leaks, he conspicuously avoids any mention of his government’s alleged involvement in rigging and corruption. Modi ji also chose not to acknowledge the recent train accident in West Bengal. Manipur has been plagued by violence for over a year, yet Modiji neither visited nor expressed concern about the recent unrest in his speech today.”

Kharge underscored additional critical issues such as the flood situation in Assam and the overdue national census, urging the Prime Minister to promptly address these pressing matters.
