In response to the widespread destruction and inconvenience caused by incessant rain and subsequent floods across the state, the government has announced the closure of all schools to ensure the safety of students and teachers.
All educational institutions, including Government, Government Aided, Private, and Central Schools that have not yet commenced their summer vacations, will remain closed from May 29th to May 31st, 2024.
During this period, all school activities, including the admission process, will be suspended.
The Department of Education-Schools, Manipur, has directed all Zonal Education Officers and District Inspectors of Schools (Independent Charges) to notify all concerned parties within their jurisdiction and to implement the necessary measures accordingly.
The decision comes as a precautionary measure to mitigate the impact of the adverse weather conditions and to prioritize the safety and well-being of the educational community.
