Police apprehended at least three individuals in Beltola, Guwahati, Assam, with a significant consignment of suspected heroin.
According to sources, the Assam Police Special Task Force conducted an operation based on specific intelligence inputs.
The operation took place at the Rupkonwar Path.
During this operation, law enforcement apprehended three suspects.
The individuals apprehended were identified as Suman Talukdar (32), Audulomi Goyari (35), and Nersing Basumatary (57).
Of the three, Talukdar is a resident of Tinsukia, Goyari of Udalguri, and Basumatary of Dhemaji.
Upon searching them, the police discovered a large quantity of suspected heroin weighing nearly a kilogram.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that the suspected heroin had an estimated value of Rs 10 crore.
An investigation into the matter has been initiated.
