In the Palasbari region of Kamrup, law enforcement apprehended an individual for purportedly abducting a minor from Guwahati, Assam.
According to sources, the individual had allegedly seized a two-year-old from the Boragaon locality of Guwahati, Assam, and transported them to Palashbari in an attempt to evade capture.
The accused, identified as Pabitra Das, hails from Bijoynagar.
Reportedly, he engaged in an extramarital relationship with the minor’s mother.
It is alleged that he coerced the mother into elopement, although she persistently refused.
Nevertheless, in an effort to persuade her, he purportedly abducted the child.
However, prompted by the mother’s complaint, law enforcement swiftly located Das and rescued the minor.
Furthermore, reports suggest that Das absconded with the child in the mother’s presence.
Additionally, authorities seized a vehicle belonging to the accused.
Moreover, the accused informed law enforcement of his intention to end his life by leaping into the Brahmaputra river with the child.
