The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has notified of an impending disruption in the water supply to the populace residing in regions serviced by the Porompat Water Treatment Plant. This is due to the depletion of raw water levels in the River Iril falling below the optimal pumping threshold.
Affected areas encompass Officer Quarters Sanjenthong, JNIMS Hospital, New Checkon, Nongmeibung, Khalabung Leirak, Soibam Leikai, Ayangpalli Road, Kongpal, Wangkhei Khunou, Rahmania, Top Khongnang Makhong, among others.
Normal water provision will be reinstated upon the restoration of ample raw water availability in River Iril.
