The Environment and Climate Change Directorate (State Climate Change Cell, Manipur) announced the 5th State Level Media Fellowship Program on Climate Change reporting. Journalists in Manipur can apply for one year.
A notice from the State Climate Change Cell, Manipur outlined the theme: Climate Change Reporting with Sub themes like ‘Health and Climate Change’, ‘Agriculture & Climate Change’, and ‘Water Resources and Climate Change’.
Applicants can avail the fellowship twice consecutively. Those who’ve received it twice can reapply after a year’s gap.
There will be 10 fellowships across four categories: ‘Open Category for print media reporter’, ‘Open category for electronic media reporter’, ‘Women Journalist category for print media reporter’, ‘Hill Journalist category for print media reporter’.
Applicants must have at least a year’s experience in Journalism. Each fellowship carries a reward of Rs 50,000 along with citation.
Selected candidates will have interstate exposure visits and capacity building opportunities.
Applications, along with CV and two passport size photographs, must reach the Director, Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Manipur, by March 31.
The application should include an endorsement letter from the Editor assuring publication/telecast.
All fellows must adhere to the rules and regulations set by the authority.
